Improving UX design in gaming

Hi! My name is Martin Jurasek and I'm helping gaming companies to bridge the gap between UX and Game Design. With 10 years in gaming industry both on the sides of UX and Game Design I’m well aware of the complexity that game development creates. With hundreds of user tests reviewed and hundreds pages of written documentations I can help you to smooth out the UX design and game design process in the development.

I'm open for collaboration on new challenges.

Work

TrainStation 2

About: Mobile f2p, Tycoon, 37M+ downloads, more info

Role: UX Game Designer

As a UX Game Designer, I was mainly responsible for the user experience part of the game. I collaborated closely with UI designers and through an iterative process of testing and prototyping we crafted the final design.

Seaport

About: Mobile f2p, Tycoon, 21M+ downloads, more info

Role: Lead Game Designer

Seaport - As a Lead Game Designer, I was responsible for guiding the vision and design of the game from its initial concepts to its full launch.

Winter Sports Mania

About: Mobile f2p, Sports, more info

Role: External collaboration

Winter Sports Mania monetization boost - Implementation of the new screen in the Grand Prize flow increased the conversion rate by +40%. Amount of gems spent in this flow was also increased by +40%. New screen suggestion was part of the bigger assignment - Winter Sports Mania Expert Review.

Gems and Goblins

About: Mobile, PvP RPG, release Q1’23, more info

Role: External collaboration

Gems and Goblins case - Redesign of existing combat system. The complex combat system would require a lot of development time in order to make it fully work, then test and reiterate. Instead we opted for Paper prototyping session. This helped the whole team to discover and define the existing problems much faster and we managed to save up weeks of development time.
